SRINAGAR (Web Desk) - In occupied Kashmir, one civilian was killed and
dozens other were injured after Indian troops used brute force on peaceful protesters in Pulwama district, today (Saturday), reported Kashmir Media Service.
People took to the streets in Litter area of the district and started forceful demonstrations against the killing of two youth by the troops during a siege and search operation.
The protesters raised high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. Indian forces’ personnel fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters, injuring dozens of them. One of the critically injured Gulzar Ahmad Mir was rushed to the SMHS Hospital in Srinagar but he succumbed to his injuries.
Clashes between the demonstrators and Indian forces were going on till reports last came in. Situation in the area is tense.
Meanwhile, the puppet authorities have suspended mobile internet services in Pulwama district to prevent people from sharing information about the situation in Litter area.
