The Destiny 2 PC release date, unlock time, and final system requirements are now confirmed

Destiny 2 has been out for some time now on consoles, and folks have got to grips with pretty much everything the game has to offer already, but the PC release is only just coming on to the horizon now. It's coming to PC later this month, so some of the final details regarding the game finally coming to PC have now been announced.
For those in the UK, the release date is as expected, 24 October. Those living in a UTC+7 or greater timezone will, however, see the game's release on 25 October, as the unlock time is late afternoon in the UK.
The exact unlock time for Destiny 2 on PC is 6:00 pm BST, on the evening of 24 October. There has not yet been any confirmation on whether we'll see the ability to pre-load the game prior to its release, although Battle.net generally does give the ability to do this.

The Destiny 2 beta gave us an idea earlier this year on what the system requirements for the final release would be, but the final ones have now been confirmed. The minimum and recommended system requirements for Destiny 2 on PC are:
Minimum:
  • CPU: Intel - Intel Core i3-3250 3.5 GHz or  Intel Pentium G4560 3.5 GHz
  • CPU: AMD - AMD FX-4350 4.2 GHz
  • GPU: NVidia - Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB or GTX 1050 2GB Nvidia GeForce
  • GPU: AMD - AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
  • RAM - 6GB
  • Operating System - Windows 7 64-bit or Windows 8.1 64-bit or Windows 10 64-bit (Recommended)
  • Hard Drive Space - 68GB available hard drive space
Recommended
  • CPU: Intel - Intel Core i5-2400 3.4 GHz or i5 7400 3.5 GHz
  • CPU: AMD - AMD Ryzen R5 1600X 3.6 GHz
  • GPU: NVidia - Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB or GTX 1060 6GB
  • GPU: AMD - AMD R9 390 8GB
  • RAM - 8GB
  • Operating System - Windows 7 64-bit or Windows 8.1 64-bit or Windows 10 64-bit (Recommended)
  • Hard Drive Space - 68GB available hard drive space
Those are very similar to the recommended and minimum system requirements we saw in the Destiny 2 beta earlier this year. So, if it ran well then, it should hopefully be running well now! There's no confirmation on what video drivers will be supported at launch.
